SolidWorks Study - Parts
Welcome to SolidWorks Study - Parts!
This collection of exercises provides drawings of parts to be modeled using SolidWorks. Each exercise includes a part to be created, plus details about mass and volume so you can confirm the accuracy of your work. There are also resources to help you if errors or problems arise in your work.
The collection is continuously growing so it will continue to be a useful resource as you progress through the exercises. New parts are added on a regular basis and I welcome student suggestions for future content.
These exercises provide a convenient way to practice SolidWorks part modeling, which serves a variety of purposes as follows:
- They help you learn SolidWorks.
- They teach you to model different types of geometry.
- They refresh your SolidWorks skills.
- They build your confidence in SolidWorks modeling.
- They increase your speed in modeling parts.
- They prepare you for SolidWorks certification exams.
- They strengthen your CAD skills for your professional career.
I hope you enjoy modeling these parts. I have worked to include a mixture of fundamental modeling tasks and interesting details to prevent these exercises from becoming boring.
If you have any ideas of suggestions for new exercises, please contact me. I'm always happy to hear from other SolidWorks users.
